Therapy by “US” for “US”

LGBTQ inclusive therapy for adolescents and adults, from the comfort of your home.

My approach

Curse, laugh, cry, be sarcastic…what matters most in this space is YOU! As a Therapist, I operate from a trauma-informed lens that allows me to say “what happened” rather than “why are you doing that?” I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.

Providing you with a safe space to heal and grow

All your appointments take place via a HIPAA-compliant video/audio platform. This means you can be wherever you want with a beverage of your choice in pajamas, your bathing suit, or a dress…whatever works for you!

LGBTQ Care

Let’s be real…there are not enough LGBTQ therapists out there and sometimes we don’t know if we can be truly comfortable in a session with someone outside of our community. As a gay man and your therapist, you will never have to wonder if you can speak freely in front of me or worry that I won’t be informed about LGBTQ culture.

Tim Gallagher, LCSW

Welcome, I am so glad you are here. You will find that I am down-to-earth, welcoming, empathetic, and REAL! I see it as a privilege to get to walk with you on your journey. It is not easy to open up and be vulnerable with a stranger. I don’t take it lightly, that’s why I come to each session ready to listen and honor your story. There is no “magic pill” to healing or finding balance but through our work together we will identify goals and put a plan in place to achieve them.

Some facts about me:

  • LGBTQ: Let’s be real…there aren’t enough providers who are part of the LGBTQ community out there! I am an out gay man and am passionate about working with the LGBTQ community.

  • Teens: For nine years I worked with adolescents in Camden NJ, one of the Nation’s most dangerous cities. It was the privilege of my life to work with hundreds of teens. I met some of the most resilient individuals in those kids. If you are a teen or the parent of a teen looking for a therapist, know that I value you and will work with you to highlight your strengths, improve communication, and increase success.

“I’ve never felt this comfortable with a therapist!”…

“I am so glad I finally made the call…EMDR has changed my life!”…

“As a gay man, it’s hard to find the right therapist…Tim is kind, empathetic, a good listener, and challenges me in the right way!”

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR is an evidence based practice for treatment of anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, trauma, grief and loss, depression, addictions, anger, performance anxiety, low self-esteem, and more. It is effective without homework assignemnts or talking at great lengths about painful memories.

EMDR is powerful and can work in as little as a few sessions (no two cases are the same and no timeline is the same).

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE Information:

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
